14 September 2016 - Our China Impressions concert in Wellington on Sunday 9 October presents a musical journey across China. In an exciting new venture for us, we've been working with video artist Jon He. His dynamic video images will accompany our performance of Eight Colours by Tan Dun (composer of the score for 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon').

The concert, which is supported by the Confucius Institute of Wellington, takes place in St Andrew's on the Terrace at 7pm. Tickets ($20/$10) can be bought in advance from Eventfinda or at the door from 6:30.

Programme:
arr. A Ke-Jian & Zheng De-Ren: Song of Emancipation
Zhou Long: Eight Chinese Folk Songs
Ding Shan-De: Reflection of the moon in the Er-quan spring
arr. Zhu Jian-Er & Shi Yong-Kang: The Whitehaired Girl
Tan Dun: Eight Colours for String Quartet
arr. Ding Zhi-Nuo: Eternal Friendship
