...Did I find any cause for complaint? Yes, actually, I did – they didn’t encore the Brahms. But isn’t that the sign of an exceptional recital, that you send your audience away wishing they could have heard it all again?...

28 October 2014 - Hard on the heels of a successful and enjoyable Kaleidoscope series tour for Chamber Music NZ, we're closing our 2014 season with two final 10th anniversary concerts.

Ravel's tuneful and atmospheric String Quartet is coupled with early masterworks by two giants of the string quartet repertoire: Beethoven's Quartet Opus 18 No 5 and Shostakovich's First String Quartet. Two traditional Chinese pieces add spice to the programme.

Our Auckland show is at 2pm on Sunday 23 November in the Q Theatre Loft, 305 Queen St. This will be the first time we've used this space, now firmly established as an important chamber music venue. Tickets from Q Theatre.

Our Wellington concert is at 3pm on Sunday 7 December in Old St Paul's, almost ten years to the day after our first ever Wellington concert in the same venue on 5 December 2004. Tickets from Eventfinda or i-SITEs.

Join us for drinks after the shows.
